CPSC NEWS RELEASE  

There are new consumer safety regulations, effective Feb. 2009, that are intended to assure the safety of childrens products.
 
A news release from U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Release #09-086, dated January 8, 2009, states that sellers of used children's products, such as thrift stores and consignment stores, are not required to certify that those products meet the new lead limits, phthalates standard or new toy standards. PLEASE READ THE NEWS RELEASE IN ITS ENTIRETY. A RECALL LIST IS LISED ON THE WEB SITE.
